Interview with Teenamarie Bressig

0

Our Avatar Weekly Staff member Liane Boomhauer got the chance to sit down with Teenamarie Bressig and talk to her about her store and her future hopes.

Hey there Teenamarie!  Thanks so much for saying you would do the interview.
What was initial thought when joining Second Life?

It was kinda goofy game. To be honest, I joined, played around the welcome center and then quit. Came back 2 weeks later & tried again. I met a wonderful person, Taryn London. She had a welcome center & showed me her club. Then, I was hooked. She will always be a memory as my first person to experience Second Life with. She was a true genuine friend & mentor.

What was the first thing you started making? (ie. clothing, skins, shoes etc)
Well originally I started building before making clothes. But, it was clothes I started with. Then, I thought wouldn’t it be great to get a complete outfit, with the shoes, for a great low price. That’s when I was inspired to teach myself how to make shoes, then it was hair, mens clothes, woman’s skins & shapes. My goal was to eventually make a store where men and women can come to get stylish reasonable clothes, and extras.

Was making clothing your main focus?
Yes, I was actually inspired by BadKats designer, as It was and still is my favorite store besides my own, now hehe.

Was it hard for you to stick to one thing?
Actually, yes. My mind was going nuts with ideas. When I finally was determined to make clothes, I was on a roll…LOL. So, I was making more than one outfit at times.

Why the name Me’LanGe, Inc?

I was mentored by an advertiser, a high professional in the field of advertising in Second Life. Decided to give my store a Name Brand, something original. So, speaking with the advertiser, a friend(for suggestions) I then decided on Me’LanGe as the re imaging name brand. It means Variety in French.

What is your fave outfit for the holiday season right now?

Has to be the Hottie Santa, hehe.

Where do you see your business going in the near future?
Hopefully and my goal, hard work & team will prosper one day to be one of the best Stores in Second Life, the best team, one of the best modeling agencies, & a great inspiration for others.

I remember when I first met you, you did photography for me. Do you still do it?
Oh, yes I remember that day quite clear, what memories I have gained in SL, the friends I’ve made, the accomplishments I’ve done. Yes, I still do photography, even better now. Have one of the best studios in SL, The PhotoLife Studio. I also, take my own advertising pictures for the store.

Do you sell any of your merchandise on xstreet? If so, is it affecting your thoughts on whether to keep your items on xstreet?

Yes, my earlier items from TMB DEZIGNZ are there. It hasn’t been a real profit maker but its free advertising so anything helps. If it ends up costing me to be with XSTREET later & not free, I will decide not to pay, unless sales are profiting my advertising needs.

On your spare time what do you like doing on Second Life?

DJing mostly. I love the club scene, being kinda bad. LOL. And listening to music as I entertain the people around me and gain friendship.

And finally, how would your life be different without having come to Second Life?

Very boring I think, I am a real computer geek, love games. Also, I think I have accomplished  a lot of the dreams in Second Life that I might have not or couldn’t do in Real Life. Its really priceless, Second Life.
